Kolben’s such a noodley critter and he looks huge in those robes (which are probably just to keep him comfortable in his chilly cave-house, ultimately). Everything about him is silly: that long face, his poofy clothes and lanky build, his Astro Boy hair…. And then his behavior. My favorite is still how he slowly creeps forward, stool and all, in those three middle panels, trying to figure out what Ryzette’s angle is while still trying to play it cool. He’s such a dork.
